    Wasn't this the residence of the former Speaker of Legislative Council, the late Ratu Sir Lala Sukuna? I remember walking past this house as a schoolboy back in the 50s. He was a much revered chief and the boys used to go...sshhhh... as we neared the house in case we disturbed the Big Chief !! Sadly, Ratu Sir Lala died at sea near Colombo, Ceylon, now Sri Lanka, while on his way to London England in 1958 for medical treatment.
